Farm Blog Week 7
There are a lot of fun pictures, quotes and slogans that you can use for farming corn for ethanol. I have uploaded a couple of the pictures that I found that really stood out to me and made me kind of laugh. These photographs help depict the irony that growing corn produces ethanol. I can honestly say I never knew that. I knew that it fueled my vehicle and that’s all I really cared about. The deeper I have researched and the more I have learned about the process it is time consuming.
I thought this was going to be an easy class that I could just bs my way through and get a good grade. The deeper I get into this class and the more I dig I have learned and been impressed with the class. I think that we live in a world where we don’t take the time to appreciate the little things and what goes into the things we have on a day to day basis.
I can
honestly say that this class has helped me appreciate the things that I
have. I no longer take things for
granted that I used to just think that things just appear. I am learning to take the time and realize
that a lot of hard work had to go into making the things that we have. I am kind of grateful for this class for
showing me that you’re not a “hick” or “cowgirl/cowboy” to have grown up in a
farming country. It is something to be
proud of because it is a rare thing and it is important to have farmers.
